Two days showcasing interdisciplinary Postgraduate research
29 & 30 July 2019
This year's Durham Castle Conference is based on the theme of 'Shaped by the past, creating the future'. This interdisciplinary conference welcomes postgraduate students from across the North East of England to present their research on a range of topics surrounding the idea of this theme. We welcome speakers from all research backgrounds!
The Conference will be held at the beautiful Durham Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and presented by Durham's University College Middle Common Room, this conference will be a wonderful experience for both those presenting and those attending! In addition to the main conference, the first night of the event culminates in a drinks reception, followed by a semi-formal dinner held in Durham Castle's Senate Suite, with port and cheese afterwards (cost: £22.50).
We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for both attendance and presentations at the conference. Speaker sessions will last 15 minutes, with five minutes afterwards reserved for questions. Applications for presentations will close on July 15th, 2019 at 5 pm, with successful abstract authors notified shortly thereafter.
